Yes it is free, SMScafe offers adding Sender ID for free at no cost.

The only condition for registering and submitting your private Sender ID (to be accepted),
is to have 10 or more SMS Credits on your account.
( Note that: You can always get Free SMS Credits from Here ).

After submitting your Sender ID successfully and become fully activated, you are free at anytime to use and put your submitted Sender ID as the "From" in your SMS Messages.
